Sell your bike or scooter in West Bengal

Motorcycle, scooter or electric — list it and the buyer comes to you. No commission, no middleman, and no rider turning up to talk you down on behalf of a garage.

One bike

I am selling my own bike

Most two-wheelers here change hands between two people who live a few kilometres apart. This is that, with a page instead of a WhatsApp forward: you list it, a buyer nearby leaves their number to get yours, and you meet.

  • We do not buy it off you and we do not send a valuer
  • The number plate is blurred out of every photograph automatically
  • Nothing is asked about a business, because you have not got one

I deal in two-wheelers

Twenty bikes is twenty WhatsApp statuses nobody scrolls to the end of. Put them on one page with a link and a QR code for the shop front, and let buyers filter to the one they want by budget and by town.

  • Enquiries and test rides arrive with a name and a mobile number
  • You can see which bikes people open and which ones they ask about
  • No commission — the sale is between you and the buyer

Start with the make

Pick it here and the listing form opens with it already chosen. You will be asked for a name, a mobile number and a password on the way — four fields, about a minute.

Listed with us already? Sign in and add it from your dashboard.

How it works

A bike takes less time to list than a car, because there is less to say about it.

  1. Make an account

Name, mobile number, town, password. The mobile number is your identity here — no email needed, because a lot of riders do not use one.

  2. Add the bike

Make, model, year, engine size or battery, kilometres, price and where it is. Say plainly whether it is a motorcycle, a scooter or an electric, because that is the first thing a buyer filters on.

  3. It is live as you save it

No approval queue. It shows up under its make, its budget and its town immediately, at its own address you can paste into a WhatsApp group.

  4. Answer the enquiries

You get the buyer’s name and mobile when they ask for yours. Ring them. When it sells, mark it sold and the page stays with a Sold sticker instead of breaking.

What makes a bike sell faster

Two-wheelers move quickly when the listing is right and sit for months when it is not. None of this costs anything.

Price it against your own town

Check what the same model and year is listed at near you. Bike buyers compare five listings in ten minutes, and the one priced ten per cent over the rest is the one nobody rings.

Photograph it clean, outside

Wash it first — on a bike it genuinely changes the price. Both sides in full, the odometer, the chain, the tyres. A phone in daylight beats anything taken in a garage.

Say what has been replaced

Tyres, chain and sprocket, battery, clutch plates. A buyer is mentally adding up what they will have to spend, and every item you have already done comes off that total.

Answer quickly

Two-wheelers sell locally and buyers are usually looking to buy this week. The listing that gets a call back in an hour beats the one that is two thousand rupees cheaper.

One bike, or a shop full

Both are free right now and both start here. The difference is how much we ask you for and what you get back.

What to have to hand

You do not upload any of this to us. It is what a buyer standing next to the bike will ask for, and two-wheeler buyers ask fast.

The registration certificate

The RC, ideally in your own name. Second-hand two-wheelers are notorious for having been transferred on paper and never at the RTO — if that is the situation, say so in the listing.

Insurance, even if it has lapsed

Say which it is and when it expires. A lapsed two-wheeler policy is common and cheap to restart, but a buyer who discovers it on the day assumes worse.

A valid PUC

Pollution certificate with its expiry, for anything petrol. A few hundred rupees, and it removes a reason to knock the price down.

Chassis and engine numbers

Check the numbers stamped on the frame match the RC before you list. On a bike this is the check a careful buyer actually makes, and a mismatch ends the sale on the spot.

The kilometre reading, honestly

Off the odometer. A reading that has clearly been wound back is easier to spot on a bike than on a car, and it costs you every serious buyer.

Six to eight photographs, in daylight

Both sides in full, the odometer, the chain and sprocket, the tyres, and the seat. Scratches and a cracked panel photographed honestly sell faster than the same bike with the damage hidden.

Electric scooter? Say how old the battery is and roughly what range it gives now, not the brochure figure. It is the only question every electric buyer asks, and the listings that answer it get the enquiries.

Your number plate does not go on the internet

Every photograph is checked for a registration plate, and any plate found is blurred before the picture is served to anybody. The blur is written into the file itself, so there is no clean original sitting underneath it.

Detection is not perfect, so you can see what we blurred and fix it: draw a box over a plate we missed, or take one off a badge or a sticker we mistook for one. Every size of the photograph is rebuilt from your correction.

On a two-wheeler the plate is small and often the sharpest thing in the frame, which is exactly why it matters. A registration number is enough to look somebody up, and a listing is a public page for as long as it is up. The photographs are stamped with the site name too, so they cannot be lifted and reposted as somebody else’s stock.

What it costs

Nothing right now, whether you are selling one scooter or thirty bikes. No card, no contract, and no commission when it sells.

It will not stay free forever. When that changes we will say so in advance; the dealer plans are already published so there is no surprise in them.

Where buyers are looking

Two-wheelers sell locally — almost nobody travels two districts for a used scooter. Buyers filter by town, so yours is shown to the people who can come and see it this week.

Questions people ask before listing

Is selling a bike free as well?
Yes. Free for a private seller and free for a dealer while we are getting started, with no commission on the sale. A used two-wheeler is not worth paying a listing fee for, and we know it.
Scooter, motorcycle, electric — do you take all of them?
All three. Buyers filter by type, so a Activa, a Bullet and an electric scooter each reach the people looking for that kind of bike rather than sitting in one undifferentiated pile.
Does anybody actually buy a used bike online?
They do not buy it online — they find it online and then come and look at it, which is the same thing that happens with a car. What the page does is get you the buyer who is already looking for your model at your price in your town, instead of the nine people from a WhatsApp group who were curious.
Does the RC have to be in my name?
It does not have to be for you to list, but say so plainly if it is not. Two-wheelers are often sold on without the transfer ever being done at the RTO, and a buyer who finds that out at the meeting treats it as something you hid.
My insurance has lapsed. Can I still list it?
Yes. Put the real position in the listing. A lapsed policy on a two-wheeler is ordinary and cheap to fix, and stating it costs you far less than a buyer discovering it themselves.
What happens to the number plate in my photographs?
It is blurred automatically before publication and the blur is permanent. You can check what we found and correct it, which matters on a bike because the plate is small and detection is harder than on a car.
Can a shop list twenty bikes?
Yes. Pick the dealer option and you get one page with all of your stock on it, a QR code to print for the shop, and a dashboard showing which bikes people are opening and which ones they ask about.
My bike is old and not worth much. Is it worth listing?
That is most of the two-wheeler market here, and it is the segment with the most buyers. A twelve-year-old commuter bike with honest photographs and a fair price sells faster than a nearly-new one priced like a new one.
How do I price it?
Look at what bikes like yours are listed at in your own town before you decide, not at what you paid. Condition, kilometres and whether the papers are clean move the price far more than the year does.
