This policy explains what personal data getmycarr.com collects, why, and what we do with it.
We use this data to run the marketplace: to show your listings, to pass your enquiry to the seller, to confirm a test drive, to answer your message, and to keep the site secure and working.
Sellers. This is the most important thing in this policy. When you ask to see a seller's contact details, submit an enquiry, or book a test drive, we pass your name and mobile number, and your email address if you gave one, to that seller. That is the purpose of the form: the seller needs to be able to call you back. Once they have it, that seller holds your details and their own handling of them is outside our control.
Service providers. Our web host, and the service that sends our email. They process data on our instructions.
If the law requires it. Where we are obliged to disclose data by law or a valid order.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
If you open a seller account, your business name, location, listings and any photographs you upload are shown publicly. Reviews you post are shown publicly with the name you gave. Your password and email address are never displayed publicly.
We use a session cookie so the site can remember you while you are signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. These are necessary for the site to work. We do not use advertising cookies.
Enquiries and bookings are kept while they are useful to the seller and to resolve disputes. Account data is kept while the account is open. You can ask us to delete your data, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent you previously gave. Ask through the contact page and we will respond.
The site is served over HTTPS and passwords are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the data we hold.
The site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page.
